Information for Developers
Pachyderm 2.0 is an open source project. The code
is currently available for download from SourceForge.net. The Windows
installation is also available on SourceForge. In preparation for releasing
the project to the open source development community, the Pachyderm Open
Source Council has been formed. The Council is charged with overseeing
the continued development of Pachyderm beyond the term of the original
grant.
A list of known issues is available. If you are interested in fixing any
of these, please send a note to the pachy-dev list (see below).
Windows Installation Notes: A set
of files and related instructions, known
to work when installing Pachyderm on a clean Windows box, are available.
PachyForge: Pachyderm Development Website
PachyForge, the new Pachyderm community website, is scheduled for release
in November, 2007. PachyForge is available now for community members
to create accounts and post in the discussion forums.
Pachyderm Email Lists
Several email lists exist for Pachyderm developers. If you are interested
in any of these, you may self-subscribe by sending a blank email to the
address by the list(s) that interest you.

For announcements pertaining to the Pachyderm Project.
Pachyderm Users' List (list name: pachy-users; pachy-users-subscribe@lists.cdl.edu)
For user-related items of interest. Ask questions of other Pachyderm users, share
projects and ideas, and receive notice of scheduled maintenance and bug fixes.
Pachyderm Developers' List (list name: pachy-dev; pachy-dev-subscribe@lists.cdl.edu)
For programmers who are working on the open-source code and/or installing Pachyderm
servers.
Pachyderm Commits List (list name: pachy-commits; pachy-commits-subscribe@lists.cdl.edu)
When new code is committed
to SourceForge, an email is generated to this list with the details of
